Gouda Grits & Herb Shrimp
Delicious, savory Gouda Grits & Herb Shrimp is a fairly simple yet packed with flavor dish you can tailor to your taste! Like it spicy? Add a dash of cayenne pepper!
Gouda Grits with Herbed Shrimp
INGREDIENTS GRITS

½ cup traditional grits (you can use quick grits but I like the old way!)
6 oz gouda, freshly grated, reserve a little to sprinkle on top
⅛ tsp salt
SHRIMP 10 oz large/jumbo shrimp
3 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, pressed
½ tsp thyme
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 green onion or chives for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS GRITS
1. Bring the chicken stock to a boil.
2. Slowly whisk in the grits and salt, bring to a boil.
3. Reduce heat to a low simmer, and simmer 10 to 15 minutes until the grits are cooked through.
4. Remove from the heat and stir in the gouda. 5. Serve immediately, adding the reserved gouda to sprinkle on top.
